Man what does it take to have a baby these days?
We waited 6 weeks after the miscarriage to even try to get pregnant again, and even then we needed to take meds to start up a cycle. Well we did everything we were supposed to do and we thought it had worked! I started having the nausea and was hungry all the time etc. etc...I took a test on Thursday and sure enough...POSITIVE! YEA! We did it! Now we just hope it sticks this time.
Well no later that I say those words when today I get up and see red...NO, not again! I call the doctor and they say I should go to the ER just to be safe and get a rhogam shot. Well..after five hours and blood tests and ultrasounds later...nothing...no babies...could have been a false positive or it just didn't continue to develop.
AAHHHHH!!!
So still nothing.....still waiting....still trying.

Wedding Spectacular
So this weekend we drove up to Boise Idaho for one of my oldest friends weddings. Teri grew up across the street from me so we have known each other since we were 3. So even though she moved all the way up to Idaho it wasn't going to stop me from being at her wedding.
It was a lovely wedding in a beautiful Methodist church. After the wedding came the reception at Lindy's steakhouse. John and I expected to eat a big steak but that was not what was waiting for us when we walked in......

A PIG!! Yes an entire pig just sat there looking at us...I had to put the flower in it's mouth so it wouldn't look so harsh.
But the fun was just beginning...they then began to dismember the little pig so it could feed us all...I have photographed the event for your enjoyment...

Poor piggy...this is just the beginning....

now they take the skin off.....

He just took off it's leg...

We already ate HALF THE PIG.....man it was SO tasty....I had seconds

We made short work of the delicious pig...here was all that was left

The pig was tasty but it was really about my sweet friend Teri...here we are together.

And my Johnny was there with me of course...

He is so silly........

WE'RE PREGNANT!!!

The day has finally come. We are officially pregnant. We have been strategically planning this pregnancy so we really were hoping it would go along as planned, and so far....so good! It seemed like it took FOREVER to get pregnant but really it happened right away so we are VERY lucky! I took a home test on Friday and it came out positive so I rushed to work and had them order a stat blood test to confirm.( this is the beauty of working for doctors =)When the blood test came back positive I started telling everyone I knew =). So we have begun the countdown....we will keep you posted on all the exciting news.
LOVE YA!

Ever wonder how long you can get away with not registering your car??
So this happened a bit ago but I forgot to tell everyone the exciting story.
As you may know I moved back here a few years ago from Texas. And I LOVE Texas. I love it so much I couldn't bring myself to get rid of my Texas license plates. I decided that I was just going to keep them until someone told me I HAD to change them.
Well people, that day came. I was driving back from a meeting at work when for no reason a cop pulls me over. There were no pleasantries just "License and Registration" to which I answered..."I don't have any registration" well he got VERY upset...and asked me "Have you REALLY not registered your car since 2006!" well no...is that bad??? " Is there any REASON you haven't resisted your car?!" Umm no reason...just lazy. I didn't want to tell him my REAL reason because I don't think he would have appreciated it very much. He was very cranky and tells me to call someone because he is impounding my car. WHAT! do you HAVE to impound it?? can't you just give me a ticket? "NO IT'S BEEN THREE YEARS!!!" WOW, who new three years was such a big deal. So I just informed him that I worked right around the corner so I would just walk! He was really bugged by me...It was weird. It's like he took personal offense to my not registering my car. Whatever...so I called my hubby John and let him know that I had finally been caught and my car was getting impounded as we speak...He wasn't that thrilled but since he knew this day was coming he just complained about how much money I was costing him and left work to come get me out of my little jam. I have to say...we had that baby out in record time. I had the thing registered and out of impound in like 2 hours... SO SUCK IT COPPER!! AND I think it ended up 6's as far as cost goes...SO THERE!! So sadly I have Utah plates now...and I will have to register the thing every freaken year. =(
So for anyone with out of state plates wondering how long they can get away with not registering them....about 3 years.. that's pretty dang good if you ask me =)
